Art Project a Day #16. Today was a really busy, fun day. After church, I attended a high tea in Lake Placid, at the Caldium Arts and Crafts Co-op. I made a paper mache teapot hat, which I wore. It was goofy, but well received. Each person got to take home her tea cup and saucer, which was hand-painted by the china painter group at the co-op. I wouldn't mind trying that some day.
This is my cup and saucer, which I painted to commemorate the day. It's a 4 x 5.5 inch watercolor on 140 pound Arches watercolor paper.
I love the free detail and the napkin. Really great colors. I love the theme here. Your travels are yielding fruit already. I like it, high tea i Lake Placid...wow. Hope you're having fun.
ReplyDeleteI am having fun on this trip, Marty. Since I let go of the posting problem, I am doing even better. It's so much easier to do the posting all in the same day, but I am making a list, so that I don't get confused when I finally get a chance to post.
